THE Chocolate Protein Smoothie

My love for chocolate runs deep. I have one of these smoothies almost every day - it’s delicious and gets some protein in! This was the first thing my daughter learned to make in the kitchen - she’s seen me make this literally every single day! She scoops out all the ingredients now herself, and presses the button on the blender. 😊

Gluten-free (if that matters)

Makes: single serving (trust me - you won’t want to share)

Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe or frozen banana (our freezer is stocked with ripe, peeled bananas, so I always have one on hand)

  • handful frozen cherries

  • 1 scoop Genuine Health Marine Collagen (unflavoured) - use code ‘Surabhi20’ for 20% off!

  • 3 tbsp hemp hearts

  • 1 tbsp raw cacao (up to 3 tbsp, if you need the extra caffeine)

  • 1 tbsp peanut or other nut/seed butter (I never actually measure - just take a heaping spoonful)

  • Dairy-free milk (350 mL-ish - I usually use almond or oat)

  • Dash sea salt

  • Optional: 1 tbsp flaxseeds

Directions:

  1. Blend on medium for 20-30 seconds and enjoy!

  2. You can also pour into a mason jar and store in fridge if you want to prepare it in the morning and drink later, e.g., after a workout.

I’d love to know if you try it! Leave a comment below, or even better, share a picture and tag me @thepassionatephysio on Instagram!

Much love,

Surabhi
