Warm Leads
In January, I got to do Brianna Battles’ 4-week Business Accelerator! After finishing up her Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism Coaching Certification, I was stoked! This information needs to get out there, and NOW!
I learned so many things from this Business Accelerator and the only thing I wish was it was longer because we covered a LOT in 4 short weeks. Let me share some lessons.
Take the next right step. Looking at the big picture can help, but it can also be overwhelming. What’s the next right step? What’s easy for you? What are you good at?
These are big questions! Embrace my strengths and focus on that. I’m excellent at helping people. I’m excellent at empowering women. I’m very relatable and down-to-earth. I’m open and I create a safe environment for moms.
I’m not so good at reaching out to strangers or asking for testimonials. I feel awkward about it (fear of rejection, hello!). But Brianna challenged us to just take that next right step. Contact your warm leads. For me, the warm leads was Valerie @Talkin.Sleep and my midwife Andrea from @ndrvmidwives. Ask. Then, ask again. Because if you don’t ask, you won’t know. It doesn’t have to be awkward. Just briefly tell them why I AM THE EXPERT and why I am so excited to help them. And don’t tell yourself stories about why they’re not getting back to you.
I’ve started seeing myself as the expert that I am. I know my stuff, I have 10 years of experience, I have a million courses under my belt, I’m excellent at problem-solving, I’m excellent at communicating. So why am I doubting myself? No more of that! (Although easier said than done)
Another thing that really stuck out is future-proofing, from Heather Osby. So if I have current clients, what’s the plan for them in the future? Instead of constantly having new clients, how can I keep these clients? So it got me thinking about next steps. I already had plans in motion for an 8-week Postpartum Return to Exercise Program (PREP) launch, so what was my next step for those clients going to be? I started thinking of a membership program to offer for beyond PREP.
It’s not forever, it’s for right now. With 2 young kids at home, I can’t go and do everything I want to do right now. But that’s okay. Do what I can right now. Things take time, and I’ll get there over time.
And contact those warm leads. Trust me. You will never regret it.
