National Daughter’s Day

Happy National Daughter's Day to my one and only 💜

She's fiercely independent, strong-willed, kind, funny, empathetic, sensitive and thoughtful. She's confident in who she is and doesn't seem to be bothered by what others are doing. Her curiosity and creativity bring me so much joy, and she is hands-down the smartest person I know.

Yet, selfishly, what I love most about her is what she's done for me by coming into my life. She's allowed me to heal in ways I didn't know I needed. She's shown me what unconditional love, forgiveness and courage looks like. She's the most influential person in my life, and I'm so grateful to be in her inner circle.

I write this caption from her bed after spending the past few hours patting her back to sleep. She caught the bug my son had a couple days ago, and has been sneezing in my face and yelling in my ear for the past few hours.

But still, I'm lying here with my heart full knowing that I'm her safe space, and she is mine.

Love you so much my brilliant little one. I thought I was supposed to be the one teaching you things, but you teach me so much more every single day.

Here's to all the daughters who are changing the world!
